Photo Friday´s current weekly challenge is this time Meditation. I suppose this man has meditated already for several years what is going to happened in the world. As you can see, his face is still stony and appearance is hard.

>This guy does not have a hat. In the Lenin museum in Tampere I once heard a story about a Lenin statue, which had lost its head, and a new one was subscribed from a trustworthy sculptor. When the head came, they found it out that it had a hat on – the original did not – so he waved with one hat in his hand and the second on his head.

>Yes, of course. The story was told by the manager of the museum, an old friend of me.
>Yet it has to be added, that in order to become a high level people’s artist, it would be a good idea to get appointed by a state or some regional area’s comissariate to make yet another statue of Lenin.Or Stalin. But not Trotsky.Not sure if the Brezhnev-Andropov etc. were equally important for the Soviet artist.
>I have seen them all, almost all.In the year 1974 I was in Helsinki, because I had entrance examination of the university.I saw Leonid Brezhnev, Gerald Ford, Nicolae Ceausescu, Erich Honecker, Josip Broz Tito and Olof Palme, all on Mannerheimintie.I lost my respectfullnes that day.They were statues allready ….
